I had to get confirmation that MotoGP Werks was remanufacturing Cal-Fab swingarms as seen in this article: www.motorcycle.com/top10/top-10-things-motogp-werks.html/8

Red got back to me, and yes indeed, he purchased the company and Cal-Fab swingarms are being manufactured once again!!!





The article is true, the price will be $599. A 150-series rear tire will fit easily.

Right now, they're only manufacturing a disc brake version for Z1s, unless they get 5 to 8 pre orders for the drum version. I'm interested in a drum brake version as I like the lines of the drum on the back of an old KZ, and I do not plan on ever doing a track day on the old bike.

I wanted to put out a feeler to see if anyone else was interested in a drum brake version as well. Let me know if you are!

So. The general consensus is that it's a good pipe. I can't speak for the canless model as mine is the race version with the can. It makes a BEAUTIFUL noise and is a quality product made in the US of A for a great price. Did I mention that it also made my bike "seat of the pants" faster than the Kerker that I had on it?

Cant make a comment, I & Kaw-o Holic supposedly bought the last 2 made for the season about 4 months ago, mine is still in the box it came in....but it looks like he has 2 more that are the last till the end of summer ??? but I've heard nothing but GOOD things about them ...Hope I can find out first hand by the end of summer

Well, thanks for the picture, anyways. Now I at least know very well what it looks like installed :lol:

Here's a pic of my bike with the yoshimura style pipe (no can on it). Yes it was very loud and Chris (owner) told me that up front. I fixed that problem by putting a baffle in there from a 2-stroke expansion chamber.

Performance-wise, I'm not sure how good it is. My motor is not in a high state of tune. It looks nice and doesn't require much maintenance.
