Warren3200gt Topic Author Offline User Posts: 1446 Thank you received: 655	I don't think it's stripped the chrome Kev, just discoloured it. It's not a bike that I use so doesn't see any rain. I've run out of projects so finding work for idle hands Z1000J2 somewhat modified!

My go-to for removing blemishes from chrome is 0000 (quad-aught) steel wool. It's very fine and polishes chrome quite nicely.

Some people combine it with automatic transmission fluid (ATF) or soap to make the polishing process easier.

Before After New tin of elbow grease opened to do the remainder then seal with quick glo. Z1000J2 somewhat modified! Attachments:

It's not a bike I use but as I've run out of projects I'm just finding work for idle hands before I get decorating duties thrust upon me. Z1000J2 somewhat modified!
