My buddy waited for 6 months on paint, getting subpar work in the end so I agreed to do the paint on his kz650 B2. I refinished the badges as well. It isn't show paint but it came out OK. 8 layers of clear after cut and buff there is no line definition in the clear.

I fell in love with the emerald green a while back but after seeing this blue (what mine is and the green side by side I still like it a little better. That is really a nice job ..... mine is still pretty nice but lost a side cover years ago (and its a few shades off) and have a few dings and scratches so maybe its time I get the second set I have out and get to work too...... what color is that ..... custom mixed or something you found ?

1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Nice job for sure. I'm a repaint hater normally, but seeing an effort like this once in a blue moon is refreshing to say the least. Fantastic.
