Even a pair of 13 1/2" stockers can be had for cheap, and with the Sons of Thunder Metric Cycle cuts added, still come in under the Progressives I've seen. *"CHOP 'TIL YA DROP!"*

I had S&W's on mine, liked them, took them off only when they needed a rebuild kit and set them on a shelf.Rebuild kits are out there, I just didn't want to fool with them.
Purchase the Mulholands off a 1977 1000 LTD. Like them just fine. I also have some air shocks, but I have never used them.
I also went the "hardly davidson" style lower chrome shock for a couple of weeks. UNTIL... I notice the tire rubbing on the inside of the rear wheel fender ( my eleven year old son is 112 pounds) So off they came and are on a shelf too:S
