Once again DOHC  thank you, I’m going to have to live without the headlight adjustment and won’t need the signal cancellation or master cylinder. As for the gauges I am hunting actual Z1r ones as I’m going to try and reproduce the cockpit as close as I can and any info on that would be a godsend mate.

Doremi makes a reproduction of the dash panel, so that should be pretty straightforward to find.  Original Z1R gauges might be hard to come by, but if you're making a custom bracket you could probably adapt stock KZ gauges to line up with the dash cutouts for the tach/speedo.

Another thing to note is that the Z1R top triple clamp has different gauge mounts than a KZ.  It's threaded from the underside to bolt to the sheet metal gauge bracket, and does not have the rubber grommet holes of the standard KZ.

Also, the Z1R bottom triple clamp has threaded holes for brackets that support the fairing.  The fairing has two mounting bolts on the top (one on each ear), and then two on the bottom that connect to the bottom triple clamp.

I can get better pics, but here are some crops of photos I already had.

Ah my friend things make a lot more sence now, those kinda photos just do no exist on the Internet, Iv been trying to piece together how it all works in my head. I will be having a triple tree clamp made especially as im using 45mm showa forks, so i will design in the mounting holes. My a pieces will be cut from 5mm mild steel and welded onto 2mm tube with a 46mm i.d. The gauges are bought the cost a good bit but i want the real thing and yes i saw that Webike had a reproduction shroud for the gauges and ill ask Santa for that... i still have to make the final bracket for the cowl mount and turn signals but with your photos that makes the job a little easier. thanks!

Does anyone reproduce the headlight ring for the Z1R   ?    It looks like I'd be better off with that than the actual fork mount .

I'm not aware of a reproduction.  PMC makes a lot of reproduction parts, so you might look at their catalog, but last I looked it was mostly for the Z1.

Hi, I was talking about the chrome headlight ring with the extensions on the side, I was trying to avoid making longer headlight brackets when I run the fairing...

Haha, I bookmarked that one today, It will probably go by tomorrow, last time I posted a link here it disappeared the next day, It was engine parts, they had been on ebay for over 6 months prior..

Doesn't really matter, I can make brackets, I was just weighing up all options...

Thats what im goin to do to be honest, braze weld a simple arm to the ring to the underside so i can adjust without any hassle, then clean up and powdercoat. The o.d of my forks and sleeves will make the origonal part redundant. Quick tip D&K nearly always have an "best offer" they normally go for 10% off the asked price any more and yer pushing it.
