Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a 1977 Kawasaki KZ750 that'd been sitting outside of a barn for the last long while. The brakes are seized up. I'm looking to replace both the front and the rear calipers but can't seem to easily track down replacements. Does anyone know of calipers that will fit from other bikes? I'm looking for anything that will fit (and cheap is always a plus).

Thanks in advance.

According to the firmest list, the front caliper was used on several models. I bet the rear one was, too.

New pistons and seals will likely fix up your old calipers.  Use compressed air to pop out the piston and then inspect for corrosion on the pistons before ordering parts.

I would say any big KZ from KZ650 / KZ900 / KZ1000 1976-1980 should work. It's risky buying ebay calipers. Some are usable they way they are, most have bad pitted pistons, then some are so badly seized that you can't even get the piston out! Like the one sitting on my bench!
brake crafters has a nice rebuild kit with stainless piston for $60 bucks.
Good luck!
