Ok the main spacer inside the hub. Does that mean the bearings don't have a shoulder to bottom out on inside the hub?

If those are the bearings that came out of your rear wheel, then the hub is damaged and should be replaced. You will never be able to properly repair or replace those bearings in that hub.

The bearing on the brake side of the hub does and it's held in place by the circlip. The other bearing doesn't have a circlip. It's held in place by the two spacer shafts 13 and 19. Those shafts are held in place by the collars on them that press up against ridges in the two hubs. This doesn't guarantee that 17(E) will be up against the shoulder inside of the hub. That should be okay, I think.
By all that's holy, the distance stack up from parts 24, 10, 13, 17(E), 19, 17(A), 4, and the disc brake bracket should be roughly equal the distance between the legs on the swingarm. But, I can tighten the axle nut way too far and it causes binding. Something is wrong or missing. Gotta take it back apart when I can find the time.

And, I have no idea why he is shouting...

I didn't say your bike was junk. I said that if you reused the hub that those dead bearings came out of you are going to have problems. Its your bike (I think it looks very good), as long as I dont have to ever ride it you can kludge all you want.

I put this toghter by myself....and I cant tell if a hub is sound or not ???

I don't understand the problem. As long as the outer races of the bearings were still in the hub I don't see how anything could damage the seats for the bearings. Is there some other area of the hub that could be damaged? Ed

4TheKZ1000 said he " also had binding". That's a red flag. He either is working with out of spec parts (the hub and/or the #19 spacer) or he is not assembling the hub correctly.

He " had to grind one end of the collar brag" Another red flag! The #19 spacer is the same length as the distance between the bearing seats. Kawasaki works very hard to get these details correct.

" I corrected the collar brag a slight bit over several tries" So, for each try he had to assemble the hub and drive the bearings into position. How did he remove a bearing after each try? Did he drive the bearing out of the hub by the inner race? Did he use a new undamaged bearing for each assembly?

"The new bearings are out of spec as too the width and cause the clearance problem" Standard sealed ball bearings are one of the most precise mass-produced items in the world, so its almost imposable to buy a new bearing that’s "out of spec".

4TheKZ1000 has a very nice bike, it looks great! But the rear hub assembly is a kludge and it will not last. I hope he does not get hurt when it fails.
