i need to know if any one has done a swap on the forks from a 2000 or newer forks.

i would like to know about the steering stem. did it fit or what did you have to do to make it fit.?

well i got myself a set of 2001 forks from a gsxr yesterday. and guys and girls, i am going to make them fit!!!!!!

There you go! That's how stuff gets done!

Chances are you're gonna have to mess with the dimensions of the steering stem, probably press/cut it out of the triple then either: a). Machine it to suit and reinstall or b). Replace it with a KZ stem and figger a reinstallation procedure.

If you get a set of tapered bearings for your KZ (aftermarket part, superior to stock for handling), then you have some measures to work with. If the stem happens to be thinner than stock, you can shim out the stem with bearing shims (like rings that expand the OD dimension of stem, fit in the ID of the bearings).

Let us know what you discover, take pics, and post 'em.
