How interesting. Mystery holes!

I found an instructive how-to website following a fellow who created his own forward controls for a KZ. After pondering it for a couple days I've decided to built my own set over the winter. I'll do it a little different than the website guy did but essentially the same. Thanks for all the help and suggestions!:P

If you build it...they will sell.

Id be interested in hearing what you have planned, and what you would sell a set for.

I could make some, out of wood

Sorry I didn't post this earlier. I am an only child and sometimes don't think about sharing. So please remind me when I have these brain farts and I will remedy them quickly! :woohoo:

I'm gonna try and fab some up using these mystery holes. Might use the mystery holes to mount the pivot points of the levers. Don't know yet will have to get out to the garage and ponder. Once I get one set completed, following sets would be a breeze to make. If I decided to do that I would probably sell them at cost plus 5 or 10 percent. Of course and shipping. Will have to see what it costs to make them. I firmly believe in making things as cheap as possible without sacrificing quality.

Will keep you all posted on my progress. I have to remodel a bathroom first tho. Otherwise I'll be sleeping in the garage with the bike.

My bike has the same mounts. I had assumed they were for mounting the lower parts of fairings or belly pans on other models that shared the same frame.

That's what I was thinking that they were fairing mounts.
And thanks for the info on forward controls I've been thinking about them for awhile now.

I think you'll get better results if you use the mounts where your engine guard would go. they're more forward and a little bit higher, have more clearance, too.

I was wondering if you ever got around to fabricating these forward controls and how it turned out? Are you planning on selling any of these sets? Thanks

Is it possible you have a '84 ZN700 and KZ700 frame?
