 It was bound to happen. Things I took off the old KZ900LTD last year, all of a sudden don't look to familiar to me when it's time to replace or put them back on. Can anybody help me identify these rubber plug type things with a metal sleeve insert? Pretty sure it's not turn signal parts (no diamond shape) but I can't be for sure. In the meantime I'll continue to peruse the parts diagram. These things look pretty worn. Thanks.

I'm a thinking that they are the rubber pieces that holds the back cowl on. Two on top and two underneith.Roy

I have no idea, but this might help the pros out there, try putting a ruler beside them and take the pic again. hope this might help, good luck.

I thought too late to put the ruler next to them. I've re-done the photo. The ruler is 6 inches across. I'm thinking the back cowl thing sounds like it might be it. I'll check the parts diagram.

Exhaust mount dampers from the rear lower mount point - 1 from either side of the mount point on each side of the frame.

Thank you Jeff! Next question might be, do they look useable in that role. Not sure these things are that readily available. Thanks for the help guys.

Good observation, Roy-b-boy-b. Some soap and water, a tooth brush, metal brush and some aerospace 303 protectant may be in order. Didn't see it on Z1's site wireman - but I'll double check. I about have the kz900 section memorized with all the visits looking for stuff I'm going to have to replace. :pinch:
