Looking for info, as well as the right size for a set of clip ons for a kz 650. Added a 750 LTD front set of air suspension forks and to get the right ride angle they just BEG to have the clip ons added to the top of the tubes with as far as they stick out. Will be removing the reguler mounts also and adding small hugging lights to go with the removed rear fender and cats eye rear light, 16 rear tire replacing the 18 incher and it being lowered with shorty shocks.

ohhh, sorry, to get back on track, anyone know the size of the tubes(I beleive it is 36MM) and how much legnth I need on the clip ons to get the handbar pieces on and a place to find them?

Thanks a ton guys.

The OD on the forks is 36mm so that is the size you need. To figure out the lenght of the clipon that you may need, just measure the straight area of your stock bar.

ebay: search 36mm clipons

A friend of mine has these they are really nice and price is pretty good.

The problem with aluminum-clamp clipons is that on some models, the brake master-cylinder hugs the bar with almost no clearance. There is interference with the aluminum clamp.

I use welded steel clipons from Airtech.

They are also the least expensive ones I found. I use the 36mm "clip 1". Sand down some of the powder coatingon the inside to make it slide on easier.

I have the same set galaxian is talking about. They are really nice, and well constructed. I have had no clearance issues with my '81 750.

If you want the height of the clip-on area let me know I will measure it for you.
