Ha, but it's a Global Marketing/Manufactured world these days, kinda hard to avoid. At least it's just the connector....maybe?

OK. I'm sold. So I just cut off the two adapter harness connectors and splice into where the OEM connector is. 3 yellow to stator, red n black power and ground. What's the leftover sixth wire?

Tape off the sense wire. It's not needed.

Stator wires straight into the R/R. Positive and negative output from the R/R into either the same connectors as the factory R/R or following the same path.

Really Ed? What device are you using to post this comment? A computer by chance? Or cell phone? Both have most components made in China.

China makes some of the top electronic devices in the world these days. You might want to educate yourself.

Anyone know which wires go to these 2 terminals? I believe the three yellow wires go to the connector on the left. But what about the remaining 2 terminals?
Thanks.

Perhaps I am uneducated or maybe I've just had bad luck with stuff from China, but I wouldn't want to depend on Chinese stuff on my bike. Three K&N motorcycle oil filters from China were 3 different sizes, my computer from China had to be repaired because cards were not seated correctly and that caused a variety of problems, other items I bought were knockoffs rather than genuine and were not worth keeping, etc. I know many things I buy are not made in the USA, and I've never had problems with items made in Thailand or other foreign countries - only China. Coincidence or just bad luck? Maybe. Ed

This is something I put together for the Suzuki GS guys but it pretty much applies for KZ bikes too. Ideally the + output will split with one leg feeding the bike and the other heading over to the battery with a fuse inline.

Hi Ed, I have no doubt there are bad parts coming out of China, but there is plenty of good too, you need to know what you are looking for. I've been buying parts from China for years, I recently ordered a longer set of fork tubes for my 45mm showa forks so they would be at stock Kawasaki length, The quality is excellent and they were extremely well priced, I also bought a rear 4 spot caliper made from 6061 T6 billet aluminium for my rear brakes, It was insanely cheap and beautifully made, it looks exactly like a brembo P234 Supersport rear caliper and is just as well made, the bolts are the only difference to the brembo. My friend has bought the exact same rear shocks that Daftrusty here used on his beautiful KZ750FX replica build, again first class quality, and with preload, rebound and compression adjustment, again these are basically an Ohlins copy but a a fraction of the price, My friend is a mechanical engineer that has built and raced bikes for 50 years and he loves them, we pulled them completely apart and couldn't find fault, at nearly 1400 dollars {AUD} cheaper than the equivalent Ohlins, they are a massive bargain. Your computer problem is common and really has nothing to do with China, My cards have come loose a couple of times from moving my computer, easily fixed for nothing, they can come loose in transport, your computer was probably assembled in the USA anyway... Don't be too quick to write of China....

Sorry for the hijack...

Nope. VTEC = Honda.

Do you have a link for the Triumph harness?
