Sure is, had me stumped for a while too, until I doublechecked the wiring diagram - only reason for it I can think of is that they got the solenoids from a subcontractor who made them that way. Highly confusing since the power wire for the coils is also yellow/red (or is it red/yellow?).

Here´s a section of the 79 650 diagram where you can see the solenoid (starter relay) connections:
