Nah, I wasn't kidding, just a little dumb. I found the unit, on the 440 it is under the right side cover with the fuses and turn signal relay. I still cant figure out why the idiot light stays on but it is not that big a deal.
The wiring diagram has a note that Italian models come with two horns. I spent a few days in Rome in '82 and I think every driver has to beep his horn every 10 seconds. I guess you would need two horns to be heard there.

check your tach,,it may be there like in my old kz 400. it comes on when you mash either brake. if its on check you tail lite to see if its on.if not it most likely is out of adjustment
