I've got myself set up to bid on some electrical parts from a ZN700 on E-bay. If I don't make it this time, I'll cough up for new parts- starting to get impatient, would like to actually ride the bike someday.

BTW, no one commented when I mumbled about needing to remove the gas tank to get to the rectifier and air filter- Is that common? Doesn't seem like very good design to me.

Kawasaki never intended for you to do this work yourself; they expected your bike to be in the shop for this type of work and you would now be paying a mechanic flat rate (of which tank removal was figured in) and no, it is not a good design:)

Well, if I pay myself for this , I can afford to put NEW EVERYTHING in!

They hide the regulator better than that on a KZ900... they bolt it to the bottom of the battery box! bwhahaha The regulator and coils should idealy be placed in air flow but seldom are...

So there's no reason for me not to move it below the fuse box? It would be similar to where it is on my Vulcan
