Also shows paint match on pit bike

Yeah, a matching paint job on the pit bike, and I also notice a matching set of leathers and helmet for the rider in some other pics - that's the way to do it! Looks professional. All part of the psychological aspect of racing. When a team shows up with a buttoned up operation, it can be intimidating to the other racers - a good thing. At the other end of the spectrum is the hardcore streetracer with a bike that looks as though it was dug out of the dumpster behind the bike shop, yet still runs in the 8's. Seen that more than once back in the day.

Thanks again, Dave, for the great pics!

I was rereading Mikes comments and then realized I had a little story to share that goes along with the psychological warfare part of racing .

Thanks Bill RIP

Having taken part in a similar scheme, there is more than 1 race team who have stamped "inaccurate" tooth counts onto sprockets. When asked by another party, "what gears are you using?" the response was always "look for your self. We have nothing to hide!"

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

That video is fun to watch, those TF bike guys had to have HUGE testicles! I was just going through a pile of old bike magazines and found an issue of BigBike?, in which Russ Collins describes crashing his dual engine, supercharged Honda the Sorcerer at 170MPH.

Thanks (again!) Dave, for posting all of those great pics. Just a side note for everybody to consider - not only were the bikes crazy to ride, the dragstrips that they were ridden on weren't the safest places, either. Look at the steel guardrails in those pics with the vertical posts. If you were to go down on the track and slide into one of those it would be bad news. Marty Blades lost his life back in 1987 at an IDBA race when just that exact same thing happened. RIP Marty....

I was reading some Kawasaki Z1 history and found the name Henk Vink. He was a kawasaki importer in Holland and rode a twin engine Kawasaki called the Big Spender. I found these cool pictures searching his name.
