Learning curve dude!! I bet that ole "Dunlop" didn't hook worth a squirt! Get a lockup clutch, practice that 60' leave and you'll be busting off some good tunes!!!
I took an 80 Ltd 750 with a 4" over arm, stock shocks, first over gpz pistons, gpz cams, ported gpz head, 29 smooths into the high 10's almost 20 years ago. Don't know how but that crazy little thing was flying!..

I've got about 400 pass's on this bike and a little over 100 on this setup.

So KZ10006 hooked me up with another GPz arm
should be here in the morning.
plan on adding 3 1/2" and since the Gpz arm is 2 1/2"
longer then the 650 arm so 6" over the 650 arm.

I think you will like this setup Dave. Keep us up-to-date.

Got the arm today but thinking it will be after the first of the year
til I do the long arm.
Holiday's gonna take up the money and I still want to go run some
1/4 mile pass with the bar then do the swap.

Got started on the swing arm mod.'s
First cut.

Next cut to take the bend out. Cut three side's and used the press to streighten the
bend.

Been workin on this some more talked to Mac the welder dude
he's good to weld it when I'm ready.

Pulled the arm off the bike tonight so should get it cut tomorrow
then finish the setup jig deal to hold it all together.for welding.
Going to add 5 1/2 inch and that will pt the bike 8" over stock.
Mac said if I get it to him Saturday afternoon I should have it back for X-miss.

Ok here's the pic's and how I did it.
The stock KZ650 arm and the stock GPz arm.

Whipped up this little jig to hold it.

Use'd some spare ecentric's and the swingarm bolt for a way to hold the arm to start with.

Cut the end's off the GPz arm and started fitting thing's back together
Got a little long at first.

Ended up at 8" over stock wheel base adding 5-1/2" to the GPz arm.

Stock arm VS GPz long arm.

Just got off the phone with the welder he said bring it over tomorrow
afternoon and he'll get it welded up this week.

Also talked to Rob at Z1 about chain since I'll need to add
about 12" to the one I'm running now.
It suck to have to buy a whole chain at about $170.00 just to cut 20 or so link's off so Rob said let
me call you back in a few ok cool
Rob call's back said he found a 30 link piece of the same type chain he could hook me up with.

Did you slug the spliced area or just weld spliced ends together?

Sleaved with solid bar stock.

Just dropped it off at the welder's he said he might just do it
tonight and I could have it tomorrow maybe.
