Might be a shot in the dark, but interested in the CDI advance unit (governor breaker?) as well as the pickup for a KZ440 to use in a CDI conversion. I can find the CDI "box" all day on ebay, but none of the other stuff.

The KZ440 never came with CDI ignition, it used electronic like all the other Kawasakis of the era.
The only Kawasaki CDI igniton I know of came on a 2 stroke tripple.

I have the parts, what are they worth to you?

You realize CDI is electronic ignition right? "Capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) or thyristor ignition is a type of automotive electronic ignition system which is widely used in outboard motors, motorcycles, lawn mowers, chainsaws, small engines, turbine-powered aircraft, and some cars". You can Google CDI ignition and literally find the parts resembling the KZ440's and most motorcycles of the 80s and newer.

EDIT: The 440 is a transistor system, instead of capacitor. So yes, you are right in saying it's not CDI, but the way you word it makes it sound like you're saying CDI is not electronic ignition, which is false. For all intents and purposes, most people still refer to it as CDI though.

As far as worth, depends on the condition. Ideally, I wouldn't like to spend anymore than $120 between the pickup and the advance. The box I can find all day long.

Rex is correct.  No KZ ever came with a CDI system.

We get this mistake quite often; people think that any ignition system without points is "CDI".  It gets a little annoying, truth be known.  No worry though, live and learn.
