Thanks Matt! I just passed it on to a guy who exports to Japan. After all said and done, and all my labor. I think I made $5.00 bucks! But I love doing this stuff, just to see how it turns out. I know your 76 is built to stock. But, did you see this item I restored? I cut the rusted wheel off and re-did the hub. I love polished aluminum, so this was the complete hub. I got $400 on ebay for this.
Good luck with your engine, It's tough you find bad parts. Maybe I would have tried to clean the small ends of that crank, polish with some fine grit, with high speed air or ? Along with new wrist pins. It won't have any bad rod knocks, if so you will know what it is. Or find a $100 dollar crank on ebay. They are so close and interchangeable. no problems. One of my drag / street bikes had a 1973 top case with the 73 VIN. And a 1978 lower case with all internals. That's how good the Kaw Factory built stuff and stayed in tolerance over the years.!
