Ok, kinda embarrassed to put this out there, but I picked up a set of 33 smoothbore Mikuni. I think my money would have been better spent on a set of RS34, to late. Dissembled them the other night and they look really good, clean inside no varnish, no stripped threads, with all the internals complete. Here’s the issue and aslo my embarrassing problem. The throttle cable bracket is cut off, the carbs are really no good the way the bracket is cut. I need to locate a bracket. I’m thinking I’m going to rebuild these if I find the throttle cable bracket, and see how the work. I didn’t get hurt to bad on the price so I have room to rebuild and still be less than what I’m seeing them go for. Here’s the bracket I need. Mikuni part number VM33/43.

I would try to rebuild the missing part of the throttle cable bracket.

I see. So he cut off the L where the cables attach? Might be able to make some out of bracket metal.

I know this is not the way a "restore" is done but man. I would get a dremel look through the steel parts pile and rebuild what bubba cut. looks like about 4 hours of work to make it nice or an hour to make it work. I know I'm a bastard chop guy though !

The bracket and a case of beer are in my possession and I’m heading your way. :woohoo:
