For sale 76 kz900 roller. I recently purchased this bike just for the motor which Is a 78 1000. Selling just the roller,no engine, carbs or exhaust. Bike shows 19k on gauges.Frame is straight, no damage or rust,original key for all 3 locks.No title but I have previous registration from last registered owner when titles weren't needed.$1500 

Hi Ronnie, Marty here. Hey? Check that back rear braking plate, one painted black. It might be an original H2, same as Z1 without the brake wear indicator boss forged in it? Plus the cam lever had the bolt side entry opposite to the newer 74-76 drum brakes?

Hey Marty, thanks I'll check that out. As far as titles I think I have a few from bikes I parted out in the past that were too far gone to restore. 

Without giving out the VIN can you tell me what the build month/year on the tag is?  I have a few 76 engine cases that are looking for projects.

Hi Wheel Hop!  Ya' better get some Lakewood Slap Bars for your leaf springs!   Sorry, was just looking at some old muscle car street drag racing photos of my old gang!I just got another lead on a 76 A roller, and a 77 B roller with mags. My drag racer buddy was just there and grabbed this nice and straight rusted fender I needed for a paint project.I have not seen them yet! Been sitting outside a car repair business these bike drag racers run. They bought the bikes for the engines a few years back? I'm going during the week to check on them? see what I can salvage and remove them for them! Heck? They might pay me to remove for scrap??These old Kaws  have been known to reappear with different neck vin's

Hey wheel hop,I can't find the stamping with the year,I can read the vin clearly though and I realized the registration says it's a 1977 . 

There is no stamped date. The date is on a decal that is usually applied next to the stamping on the steering head.

I am a coil spring Ladder bar type of guy! 
Heres a few pics of a set of Lakewood NOS Ladder Bars installed on my 1969 Chevelle.  Also a third pic of a collection of ladder bars I have hanging from my garage rafters.

There was no attempt to match engine and frame numbers from the 76 model onwards.  There might be records of the engines sent to the US for assembly into US made 900's, which had a frame S/N beginning with a 5.  But I don't know if those records exist and if they are commonly available.
