For those who know more about these bikes, this is not an all orginal bike. The frame was braced for road racing but kept in the system for plates and registration purposes. I had a 1980 (with uglier tins) with not title and so this bike was fully dissassembled. The braced frame stripped and painted and re assembled, everything was THOROUGHLY cleaned, all electrical connections have been gone through, cleaned and lubed ect... Tank and plastics are freshly painted but the tank does have a few little touch up spots where someones keys bonked my fresh bike.. ( IM LOOKING AT YOU UPS)
That is NOT a 1978 KZ650. Who told you it is? Look at the label and/or stamp in the headstock for the motorcycle model and serial number. That will enable you to determine the actual model and year of the bike. Ed
