Time to let someone else enjoy this very nice example of Kawasaki's first "designed in the U.S.A." Limited Edition (LTD) I am only the 3rd owner in this bikes 44 year life, and have owned it since 2006. The first owner put some chrome bits on it and used it as a show bike. As I remember the story the owners son was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident, so the LTD got put in the shed and neglected. The second owner purchased it and had a very nice custom, original looking paint job done with hand pin striping because a leaking front master cylinder had ruined the original paint. When I purchased the bike it had 17,000 some miles on it, and it just turned over 18,000 on my test ride a few weeks ago. I cleaned it up for a local bike show a few years ago and could never bring myself to ride on the 1 1/4 miles of gravel road to get to the pavement since. I did trailer it into town for a few bike nights and antique motorcycle picnics. This is not a perfect show bike, but a very nice, clean, unmolested rider.

The good:
valve clearances checked, head cover gasket replaced less than 500 miles ago
new AGM battery this spring
carbs ultrasonically cleaned, fuel junction Ts replaced with Z1 Enterprises aluminum/O ring Ts
extra chrome- head cover, carb top covers and float bowls, chain adjusters, misc. hardware
new chain/sprockets less than 500 miles ago
paint is still very nice, although prior to my ownership the tank was lined, appears to be the Creme product. has not caused any grief during my ownership
oil and filter changed this spring
The not perfect:
40 year old Kerker exhaust, looks nice but there is some discoloration and damage to the bottom
tires are at least 15 years old
small tear in the original seat cover
Hi/Lo switch dies not function on Left handlebar switch
no airbox or turn signals

Extras:
LTD exhaust from a 1979 model- right side in very good condition, left side requires some repair, it looks good but was bent in a collision
original LTD handlebars
April 1976 Cycle magazine with "kawasaki's Swoopy New 900 LTD" on the cover, dealer brochure for the LTD

Man that's beautiful and SO cheap! Here in the UK that would command a good price! Check out this one, £5900 is roughly $7400 !!

The pictures don't do Krazee1's (former) bike justice. He and his wife are just as nice as their bikes. This was a fun purchase on my end. I'll have a photo or two to post later of the transfer mid-way between our locations.

A mutually satisfactory transaction! Cool to meet members in person, whom I'm sure all have passion for these "time machines". I feel as if I've made a couple new friends after yesterday, I'm sincerely hoping we will get together again! I owe thanks to this forum for getting us together.

How often are motorcycles sold in a funeral home's parking lot? Still a heck of a good time meeting a great couple and taking home a very special bike. Thanks again!
