Very interesting. Thanks for the info.:cheer:

I believe dentists may have formerly used something like this sort of UV activated glue to attach crowns.
As I recall, it took only a few moments, not very long at all, for the UV application to harden the glue.
So now if a crown happens to come loose and fall off, we know the DIY fix. :woohoo:

Amazon lists the glue plus light:
Click here > www.amazon.com/RapidFix-UV-Plastic-Adhes...words=Rapid+Fix+glue

And ebay:

Several el-cheapo versions are also listed on Ebay.

Good Fortune! :)

I tried it on rubber...does not work at all. just a note.some plastics it works better than others too. sure beats glueing your fingers together!!!! doesn't leave the "burn" marks that super glue does in some plastic.

Another great product that I always have at my shop is plumber epoxy. Can't tell you how many times it's bailed me out..... everything is plastic today..... and beaks all too often!! Most any hardware store or big box stores like Home Depot have it in the plumbing section. I found that Home Depot has the long tubes of it at a very good price.

one thing I found totally by accident.........before the epoxy putty cures.....if you give it a squirt of brake clean.....you can smooth it out real nice, no finger prints......gives it a nice finish. it cures in about 10 minutes, depending on outside temp/humidity. in an hour it hard as a rock. can be filed, drilled, sanded after too.
