I said it before, I’ll say it again; you guys are great!

I was really sure the coil was toast. My spidey-sence was telling me spending anymore time trying to trouble shoot was just going to be time wasted without replacement parts. But after looking what new coils cost, I decided to heed george’s advice and investigate a little more. I mean holy crap! 150 bucks for a coil? Outrageous.

So I did the coil swap idea, and my jaw about his the ground when the coil I thought was dead was running the bike. It was indeed a problem with the ‘trigger’ wire. Following it back I found a loose butt connector near the fuse box area. After fixing that the damn thing runs fine again.

So thanks for convincing me to investigate further. All problems solved. Now all I gotta do it a little chain maintenance and I’m ready for my trip. On some other motorcycle boars I post on, they like to see pics and get a “report” from members after a long ride. I don’t see a section for that sorta thing, is that not part of the culture here?
