It got up to 37 deg. last Sunday so I finally rolled the bike out for the first time this year.
Over the Winter she got a good cleaning , a new shiftier return spring and thanks to Wire George's cleaning tips I got the # 4 carb choke working right again.
It was too cold for Mrs bluej to ride but I was able to get out and put the hammer down for a good long test ride and she is running great! :woohoo:
Hopefully the weather will cooperate and this weekend we can get out again.
Getting ready for more of this B)

Where is that beautiful scenery?, around here (Toronto) it is slowly starting to look like all there is, is big buildings and lots of concrete and the roads are very congested with vehicles, sometimes you don't get to enjoy your ride.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Pic taken in Utah, late June last year in a place call Fry Canyon, it was over 100 deg's that day.
My camera was acting up so the only good pics were taken by my wife, here's another one from later in the week at Independence Pass CO

I've been over Independence Pass several times. I live in CO. Were you headed into or out of Aspen?

We did a loop from Gunnison , had lunch in Aspen , man it has changed since the last time I was there in the early 80's
then we headed to Carbondale for supplies and camped in Redstone.
The next morning we visited Marble, had lunch in Paonia , where my Grandfather was born , grabbed 92 in Hotchkiss and headed back to Gunnison.
Great roads, beautiful country and during the weekdays we had them all to our selves except for that stretch between Twin lakes and Carbondale

Gorgeous country and roads. In 1979 my brother and I rode many of those roads on our KZ650 D1's. Good times.

Back in the day when working the mines in Redstone, The roads on the Chrystal river were in great shape because of the coal trucks. I'm amazed I'm still here after buying a new kz 900 and in a hurry to get to Cdale down the canyon after work! It wasn't tourisa in Redstone in them days . No police.

 Yes, you did press your luck more than a little bit. Just tell everyone else you have mad rider skills. From the list of things no one ever said: "Man oh man those KZ900s sure did handle well."

That was a long time ago,,,,,when I used to bounce. Now same bike even faster, but there will always be faster ones but I'm still looking for upgrades in suspension, By the way is that a pic of Mt.Sopris in the background of your avatar picture? It looks like your on Missouri Heights maybe.

That short cut to Crested Butte along the South fork of the Crystal river is something I would have tried back in the day but not now and definitely"not" with the Mrs's

Back from AZ and UT, first time in my life that I ever drove straight through Colorado :(
We visited a lot of cool places and road a bunch of great roads.
Just like last year I pulled an all nighter from our house to my mothers in Camp Verde AZ trailering the bikes, 1600 miles, made it there in time for the mothers day party and spent the rest of the week working on her house, in between trips to the hardware store in Cottonwood I was able to great a nice ride up to Prescott Valley and visit an esteemed member of KZR, Good to finally get over to your place Doc, thanks for all the tips, your secrets are safe with me ;)

On Friday Mrs bluej flew out and the vacation started for real, after a day of hanging out relaxing we drove up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and primitive camped at Jacob Lake just out side the park, very cold at night( 8000 ft) but thankfully they allowed fires so we could warm up.
The North Rim is big and beautiful, we could have easily spent another 2 days there but we only had the site for 2 nights, then it was up to Bryce for 4 more.
