Riding along today on a country road at about 90 kph I encounter a lovely Monarch butterfly. He hit me smack in the Adam's apple (the only 3 square inches of exposed skin I have with my gear on).

Then it got interesting. Remarkably he didn't die, instead he crawled up inside my helmet between my face and face shield then we both freaked out him trying to escape and me trying to not kill us both while a giant f'ing bug is crawling around on my face obstructing my view of the road. We both made it home.

Why not, it is street legal here in Germany on the highway, not every where but mostly.
Why do you think we build so many over powered luxurious cars like AUDI, BMW, MERCEDES, PORSCHE, ok and Volkswagen

They build some over powered cars here to - such as the Cadillac CTS-V and Corvette ZR1 (each with about 640 hp), but if you are caught exercising those engines here you go to jail and they throw away the key. Ed

Hmmm, bumble bee at 60 mph, in the adams apple, down the shirt and yep, he can still sting!!! That's my worst case riding experience with mother nature!

Let's here what others have had!

How many keys they must throw away if you get in jail if you drive 400 kph and more with a Bugatti Veyron/Chiron build by Volkswagen
Specs: 1500 PS, 1600 Nm, 420 km/h i want to feel this acceleration. and speed street legal on our highway.

A friend told me he once saw a bike down on a two lane highway and the rider had a crows head stuck in his chest .
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I had a bee get in my shirt and down my back sting the whole way, then it drop into my pants.
My wife was riding in front of me and looks into her mirror to see me standing in the middle of the road with my pants down around my ankles jumping all around.
luckily it was a lonely country road.

These days the grasshoppers and Japaneses beetles are attacking, the beetles are hard and grasshoppers are real messy
