Thanks, JD. I'm sure the wife will be back to her pain in the ass self in short order. No problem there!

The tower was closed for quite sometime for repairs, but I believe it was recently reopened. You can actually park right close to the monument and walk the perimeter. The view is truly spectacular from there. You can see where NJ, NY and PA come together. I love the Fall the best. Miles and miles of nothing but a sea of yellow, orange and red trees. For as far as the eye can see! I'm already on my way down the backside of the park in those photos, headed towards Port Jervis.

It's a very historic area. The Delaware River runs through it. There's a great river run ride that ends up at a place called the Crow's Nest. Beer and good food, where all the bikers meet! Of course the miles and miles of twisty river road are the main attraction. I've run about 25 miles of it and it never gets boring. Especially, the section below. All the Hayabusa's, Ninja's and other twisters meet there to challenge the river road.

I want to be there !!! wow nice

Took a ride over to the Kankakee river yesterday , along the way we stop to take some pictures of the bridge I want to nominate as the "longest and ugliest covered bridge" that I know of.

It is tin wrapped and is about 3/10ths of a mile long and crosses the cooling lake at the Dresden nuke power plant in Morris IL, I'm guessing that the fog or steam off the lake can be problematic at times.

Also here is a suspension bridge at Kankakee state park

Sounds like a good plan Forrest, below and west of Princeton has some great roads to explore and the Hennepin canal has some neat bridges, we have visited only about half so far and everyone has been different in some way.

Cindy is really coming along on her riding ability and we are keeping pace on the roads now, if someone wants to pass us it's because they are willing to break the law.

It would be great to go riding with You and Laura sometime, we'll pack a lunch and do some exploring if you like B)

I better add these from 2014 so I can start the new year clean
These are three bridges from our trip down the Natchez Trail last June

This one is located just south of Nashville, I'm not afraid of heights but if you are it is a butt puckerer.

This one was an over pass on the trail were we met some nice folks from Minnesota, Chicago and New York
waiting out the rain, the blue tarp saved us a few times on this trip

Bridge on the Trace crossing the Tennessee River, not far from Muscle Shoals in Alabama

From the KZR rally in Colorado , a bridge crossing the South Fork of the Rio Grand

Last ride of the year 11-30-14 Hennepin canal near Princeton Illinois

Monocacy Aquaduct - this bridge is actually a raised portion of the C&O canal system. It runs parallel to the Potomac and spans the Monocacy. Water flowed on top of it to carry barges, etc. back before railroads. Ed

Great photos Jack and Ed!

I never even heard of a sliding bridge. Very interesting.

Still like the Blues Brothers bridge scene.

Great pics Ed, thanks for digging them out, architecturally amazing and beautiful to boot B)
Lou I know that there are some great bridges in Chi Town ;)
Thanks Spencer I dig those old steel bridges.

Here is another one going over the Big Muddy from Iowa to Savanna Illinois, it is one of those steel grated type , a very squirrely ride on two wheels :woohoo:

Here's one from yesterday, the Henry bridge over the Illinois river.
Went on a 175 mile river road loop, shake down over for the most part , a few tweaks to make but she is running good now B)
