Tcombs206686 Topic Author Offline User Posts: 2 Thank you received: 0	I had just purchased a 82 kz 440 and I rode it and everything seemed fine until i noticed a sound only when I decelerate, it doesn't effect the performance but It sounds like a playing card in bicycle spokes.

Did you check for a card?

What condition is the drive chain/belt? drive in?
Tight links in a chain can make a noise.
Never had a belt drive, so can't say if they make a noise.

Every engine pops some on deceleration, but the factory intake and exhaust muffle the noise so much it is hardly discernible. It could be a very loose drive chain or belt flopping against the swing arm or frame. 1982 KZ1000 LTD parts donor 1981 KZ1000 LTD awaiting resurrection 2000 ZRX1100 not ridden enough
