Now I'm going to have to become an expert in gate openers?

WOW! That is one big Asx door, Steve! That thing is gonna take off like a 747 kite in a high wind. You may want to consider cutting that thing in half, and distributing the load a little more evenly on everything involved.. the hinges and the framing.. will thank you. lol

Just a suggestion.

Been thinking on that. The prevailing winds come from the West so they would try to close the door. The worst winds come from the North on the back side of the building. That shouldn't be a problem. Been thinking on having the door fold onto itself while it is opening. with hinges inside and a bar at the top to pull it in while opening and pushing it back out while closing.
Now that I have it working I can play with it. B)

Good work Steve! Loving it so far. Only thing I would add is to buy cheap used window A/C unit.

May need one this month. I have a 220v unit but it don't work right now. It's one of those high tech ones that has a failed circuit board. Been thinking about converting it with low tech parts I've been saving when I've scraped old dead ones. Better yet my new neighbor where I got the used materials from has a small unit sitting on the ground in front of the cabin. If I asked if he wanted to sell it he might just give it to me. It's been so hot he hasn't been around the last two months and I don't want to just take it.
Surprised the Meth Heads haven't scooped it up by now.
August and September are the most humid months normally. Monsoon season. Aug. was unusually dry this year.

Time for a new project to work on...one needing good lighting, a clear bench, and an ice-cold beer or two.

Got a few more things to do. Need to get that small A/C unit so I can paint my tank in there. In another month summer will be OVER. :woohoo:
