To be fair, Oinks parts were original parts, the cheap reproductions are just that, cheap reproductions. Oink has a pretty good reputation amongst the people I know that have bought from him... 99.9% feedback is almost as good as it gets....

Yeah, at this point I’ve bought a lot of items from Oink and haven’t had any issues. They appear to be a drag racing family - there was a young-ish girl/woman with “Oink Johnson” on her leathers at Dragway 42 a year or two back. Not sure where the heck they get all their parts from, but I never felt like there were any shenanigans going on.

There is nothing OEM about aftermarket chrome trim meter covers. The LTD’s had chrome back halves. The upper covers were never Factory. Someone really got caught up in the “win at all cost....” I have seen OEM NOS chrome back haves for $50 each.

Counter to the what has been said about this seller I haven't been so lucky in dealing with him so I avoid him along with a few others. Nuff said.

Apparently, Kawasaki did offer chrome meter cover sets back in the day as an oem "upgrade". Made in Japan.

Another 1974 Z1A!  States it is the result of a 2 year museum quality restoration.  Other than the obvious black motor,  how many other "flaws" can the experts find? 10K so far, of course has not met reserve.

This one is what I would call "rebuilt" but not restored.  Rear foot pegs are wrong, speedo is wrong, needs a complete set of button head JIS screws, but most interesting....the valve cover is not from a Z1 engine.  And the swingarm bolt is installed backwards.  Wondering what that black thing is on the right fork?  Seat strap was a Euro feature.  It should have a Dunlop K87 Gold Seal on the rear.  They  are still made.
I have a couple of Z1B's restored, an '80 KZ1000LTD restored, a 1981 KZ550 restored and a 2008 KLR 650 for off road fun. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
