Are you in the market for a Z1 Shop manual? Don't be scared off by the price. It's Canadian dollars, which converts to about $2,700 US!

The 73 Z1A didn't make reserve. Topped out at $15,250,

Yep and it is relisted with a $2,000.00 lower buy-it-now price! A few more cycles like that and even I will be able to afford it!!

This dude needs to see an ophthalmologist and probably sign up for laser eye surgery if he thinks this seat is in mint condition.

Hope it was one of our members that got this smoking deal. Somehow my email let me down and didn’t remind me the bid was near end. I’d have been all over this.

What do you guys think? Holes seem a little large/too close together. The material between the holes seems too thin. A few people are defending it saying they are the same as something like this bike's got. [/quote]

I wouldn't even think twice about that. I would make a home for it if I was in the market

I like my rotors with lots of holes in them!

That's good to see that the 1976 KZs are demanding good dollars in today's market. Unlike the Z1 which was refined for two more years as the Z1A and Z1B, the 1976 KZ900 was a one year model. My two books don't agree on total production, the Marsden books says that roughly 21,000 were built in Lincoln, which was 60% of total production. The Mickey Hesse book says that less than 40,000 were built in Japan and about 20,000 in Lincoln.(60,000?) The Marsden book is also the one that mentions A5 900s being assembled in 1977 with "leftover parts". I have tried to research this to no avail, the production records apparently no longer exist at the Lincoln Plant or a KMC in CA. I really don't believe any 900s were built in 1977 when KZ1000 production would have been in full swing. I do have a slight memory of 1976 A4s being built after Summer Shutdown in 1976 and calling them 1977 Models, I can't say for sure.
