You shaftie riders just have to go to a larger wheel and tire!
On my SR I went with the stock sized 16T and 102 link chain, but put a 38T on the rear. It runs fine, but that combo puts the axle near the rear end of the adjustment. When I run out of adjustment, I'll have to try removing links or back to different sprockets.
On the two most recent projects, I went with a 17T on the front and I like that better as the axle is now near the front of the slot. I can't tell much difference in RPM between my SR and the 650B at highway speed.
