I found this bike on Kijiji for free as the previous owner had to many projects going on and not enough lifts. From what he said the engine runs and I just have to finish up the rest of it.

I have absolutely no idea what I am doing as far as rebuilding a bike so it is going to be quite the experience. But I would really like to turn it into something cool.

I look forward to posting my progress.

Approach it patiently, and slowly, and you will be rewarded with a killer bike!

Nothing wrong with a free bike although they can get expensive. Besides the awful tank, it doesn't look too hacked. What are your plans?

So from what I can tell, most of the parts are still there and from what he told me it runs and just needs to be put together. I have no idea what I am doing, but I figure a good place to start would be seeing if it starts (haha). I would guess that buying a battery, ignition switch, wire, and attaching my gas tank (so buying a petcock which it is missing, and finding a way to plug what I assume is a mount for a vacuum line).

Throw them, they're useless, stock rubber stacks are not expensive. Do you have the airbox ?  It will save you a lot of hair pulling ?

I don't have the airbox sadly, anything not seen in the pictures I don't have. I was thinking I would just go with those cone air filter pod things.

Look forward to a lot of hair pulling trying to get it to run right... Ask the forum if anyone has a stock airbox, you'll thank me later if you can find one....
