Blackozvet, A little off topic but I just saw a report on Yellow Crazy Ants down your way. Are they really that bad?

update - been away for holiday weekend but slowly making headway in stripping it down.
had to buy a new pair of internal circlip pliers to get that circlip out of the front hub.
the box of bits to be de-chromed is now 2 boxes !  And still got more to go.

I didnt realise they were becoming a big problem,  
they are up in the northern part of Australia - Northern Territory, Queensland, where its tropical.  I live down south.
they will probably end up being like the cane toads, a pain in the butt they have to spend millions trying to control.

I run a 140/70 with a 3.5" rim on my Z1b.  No need to alter the swingarm or brake stay.

The other reason for the pressed swingarm is because of the low tyre pressure being used for drag racing, it tends to squish a fair bit.

I had my first oopsie moment, undoing a tight bolt and it twisted the bike around coming off the stand under the sump (or oil pan as Americans call it)  and then fell sideways off the rear main stand.
I reached out and grabbed the back of the frame and managed to stop it from coming off the work bench, then I realised that the dynamo cover was off so oil was pouring out everywhere.
Luckily the Mrs heard the commotion and came out and gave me a hand to straighten it all up and mop up the oil.

Anyway a couple of things have arrived, the stainless steel spoke sets and a starter motor that I found on ebay that came with the cover and wire.

That looks a bit fancy Wookie, I think I will just modify my big blocks of wood to hold the chassis.
 

Finally stripped all the parts and wiring looms off the frame, then stripped all the parts down to go to be de-chromed.
The engine is only sitting in the frame all unbolted ready to come out.
