how about a threaded rod, then cut it to size ?

Well if I could find the appropriate size and pitch in threaded rod, I would hope I could find just a bolt the right size.

This is how I want to run my foot controls. A little bit stock, a little bit custom, and relatively simple. I need the longer bolt to run through the brake lever (which will need a spacer to work) and the peg hanger. I think it will be pretty cool when done, I was getting a little tired of the rear set pegs.

Bringing it back to life this Summer.

New wiring is nearly done, just have to wire brake light and head and tail lights. Caliper rebuild kits and fork seals ordered, and just need to order measure and order brake lines.

Getting excited!!

Doesn't look like much here, but the fork were rebuilt last night and the majority of the wiring has been completed. Gauges have been mounted and front wheel/tire has been cleaned.

Finally got the pistons out...

They are in good shape, just dirty. Now to clean everything up this evening.

I had to rig a master cyl up to pump out the pistons, as air wasn't cutting it.

Pain in my ass...

I finally got 8 usable pistons out of 2 sets of Tokico calipers from the 95-97 ZX-6R front end. But I had to drill out holes in the back side of the calipers to push them out. Between corrosion and galling the finish with the pliers, most of the pistons weren't any good.

Hopefully going back together tonight.

Front end reassembled, just waiting on the new H4 headlight assembly to be delivered...

Luckily the brakes went back together MUCH easier than they came apart!

Nice.
Also working on brakes, but stock stuff.
Still a pain trying to salvage used parts at times.

Got some more stuff done this weekend, made up a quick front stand to be able to remove the swingarm for a bit of work.

Received my box from Z1Enterprises with H4 halogen "sealed beam" headlight to replace the old one and a rear view mirror to pass inspection.

And then yanked the swingarm to have 1/8" or so removed from the face of the sprocket carrier to get chain run straight and start on mounts for the rear fender/mudguard/undertail for the tail section.

Little bit of body filler on the edges and a few chips and it will be ready for some new black, I will hit the side covers while I am at it.

More to come soon.

Clearanced the swingarm chain guard and reinstalled that last night so the bike is fully supported again. Having the Jack under it was nerve racking as all get out. Bled brakes in the front last night and got pads installed, so the front is fully finished. I am waiting for the sprocket hub to return from the machine shop and I will go ahead and match the paint to the front, sort of a gun metal grey. Rebuild rear caliper, finsh tail section, and buy a chain and I think this thing is ready!!
