Doh! Oh well, I have some more work to do and if I end up needing to modify or remake the cowl and seat, ill give you a holler :)

Yup, I'm still thinking black fins will work nice and if you can help me out with some buffing that will be ultimate win

haven't been able to work on the bike for a few weeks, but i'm going to try and get to it tonight and do as you are suggesting Bique. Going to get the cover off and try to shave that seat down a little. Will post pics and such if I get to it.

Failing that, I'm thinking of ditching sheet metal and attempting fiberglass...

I bought a set of carbs from ebay for about 150 and salvaged the diaphragms from that, so I still have one good one for emergencies ;)

just a note on the pods, some of the cheap ones block the vacuum port that leads to the diaphram, sometimes you need to trim the rubber lip so that the ports are open. my cheapie EMGO were that way
