After 30 + years I have a 1980 KZ1000 G1  Aka Z-1 Classic.

I had to let my first one go when the wife and I had the third kid.  And just last month I found a nice one. What a nice thing to be able to do.  I wonder if my old bike is still out there?
This one had a few things not quite right for the model. But I have slowly got it almost matching my first one.  I just need to swap the handle bars, get the front side reflectors. This one has a Vance and Hines 4 into 1, but has no baffle need to find that. or get a Kerker by Kawasaki like my first one had. I will have to look and see if I can find the vin from my first one.

Any owners of a KZ1000 G1 that cam from central valley California?  It had the dealer plate frame from Fresno Kawasaki. I drove it home from the dealer!

Welcome to the Forum Kevin. We love pics...
I have read that the new Kerker pipes, while being insanely expensive, are not what they used to be. For your baffle, you can stalk eBay or do what I did and find a EMGO replacement baffle. I run one in my Kerker.

Hey Jim, I am in Acworth. I also have a GT6, 1968. The pipe on the bike I have now is the Vance & Hines.  PO has it, so he said and has not sent it. does not reply to messages. So I have to get that. the pipe with no baffle is just a big megaphone and is get a ticket loud. So I have to get something in there.

Yeah, open baffle will get you pulled over right quick. Doesn't seem to bother Harley riders though...
Cool on the GT6. Are you a member of the GTA? I also have a '68 Spit. Driving a GT6 is a lot like riding a motorcycle...
