Lurching Forward...

The Battery died while resetting/checking timing against my LED creation with my olde Timey Sears Better Timing light, my #2 brother had saved it!!!

Reset to 3-5* btdc from almost 10* [Detonation killed orig head gasket?] for plain regular gasoline...
Had Voltmeter hooked up and Vbatt never increased so gonna dive into Reg/Rect and Stator next nice WX time...
Replaced ALL old fuses, Main Bus under-fused @ 15A
Depending on what's there MOSFET R/R [More Efficient] and check Stator wires for scuffing

Is anyone Re-Magnetizing Stator Magnets while they're in there?  40YO 1978 vs 2020 & Rare Earths?

GAS CAP HOLE had rusted closed! a lil' Marvel Mystery, time and scrub-brush solved that....
Steady, consistant idle now...

Loosened Cam-Chain tensioner as a lot of the older KZ-200 postings I sifted through had had Cam siezure and sticking issues.
It WAS far tighter stock than my 1100CC Virago

So Far So Good, Till the next 'Shade Tree' day...

Well 1,200 summer FUN miles pretty darn trouble-free!
50-60Mi/Gal shoving my 250lb. butt along! Just Barely does 65 with me and not quite 70 if I'm all squinched in...
Surprisingly Roomy I'm 6'2" and it isn't as Squinchy as I'd thought it'd be
Replaced the older Reg Rect with a new technology MOSFET and FAR tighter regulation doesn't 'cook' battery as bad..
1 clogged 1 micron fuel filter as Tank Browning sets, usually sets/cures over 3-6 months.
My Lovely trothplighted did a beautiful Rattle-Can paint job. I was able to "Dot" the chrome pocking and baked-enamel finish to it.
(15Y on the same treatment on my Virago's chrome pocking)
Brand New Rubber Street knobbies and balance (With Period Spoke weights!) just this week putting back together and Re-Packing wheel-bearings the OEM Grease was a little crusty...
Sadly I've gotta Flip it....
