hi guys, first thanks for admitting me to the forum. I am based in the U.K. And have had a few bikes over the years but nothing since my last build 20 years ago. It's been the old story of time or money but never having both together. So the time has come to scratch that itch, everybody of a certain age has desired a big Z at some point but I was staggered at the price of the early bikes ! Especially as I was looking for a project base. Having seen some great builds on this forum I have bought a 82 KZ1000 ( not sure if it's a Ltd or CSR) but as I don't plan to use most of it it doesn't really matter. I try to use as many OE parts from a variety of bikes as I can for price and also I try and end up with a unique bike that "could always of been that way" I have included a picture of my last build (Harris Magnum 2) I know it's not a Kawa but hopefully shows that selecting parts that work together can give a great end result without spending a fortune (there are parts from 8 bikes and 4 brands in this) and I will be happy if my Z comes out as good as this did. I have a plan, some ideas of mine and some shamelessly copied from others in the forum, wish me luck

Welcome to KZRider.
Nice project bikes
I fixed your pictures to be full size. Next time click insert all as a final step.
As long as you finish  your projects which you show to be capable of  you will get plenty of support here.
A lot of bikes  non stock  builds never get finished
Looking forward to seeing your vision take shape

Welcome. I’m glad there’s no throttle, could make for an interesting ride with the current brake situation. Good luck with your build.

Thanks Mikaw, I bought from a guy that restores classic cars that had been asked to paint the bike black. The owner couldn't pay so sold it to the painter. All the missing bits came with it in a box ( including a usable Harris 4-1)
