Hi all, I am new to the site & look forward to both sharing & receiving info. My first Kaw was a (175) 1970 model, then on to a (1970) Mach 1 (500), then 1972 H2 (750), then naturally I had to have a 900 . Bought it in early 1973. Started drag racing & won several events, while competing with the cars (run whatcha brung)days. Set (3) national records in the IDBA. Built my own engines it the back yard in a 10/12 metal shed.
On to present, I am now restoring a true 'barn find' (1982) GPZ 750. I had no idea how difficult & expensive this would be. HA!
I will hopefully be able to contribute to this site. Actually very excited to join. I will definitely need some assistance for hard to find parts.

Welcome aboard Kawnut! Post a couple of pictures of where you are at with your build. I would also start a project thread under that section if you are interested in doing so. Welcome. You are at the right place. I also have the R1 GPz which I have enjoyed since 2007. I hope you'll post quite a bit on the resto since I have a Wiseco 810 kit and a six speed tranny ready to go in my mine and could use the encouragement.

Hi,also new,I just put together an 82GPZ 750 R1 with a 750 UT motor,so can maybe answer some questions,also have some extra parts,though shipping could be expensive!
