Hello fellow KZ riders!
A little history as to how I came to be a KZ owner.
My father bought a brand new 1982 KZ750N1, also known as the Spectre. He owned it all his life. Many years later, he bought a second one, exactly the same bike. (I don’t know why). Well, in 2010, sadly he passed away from bone cancer.
One of his last wishes was that those two spectres be left to his cousins. Each to get a bike each. As per his wishes, those cousins came to his house and picked up their respective bikes.
At the time they were not running. So, those two cousins decided in honour of my father to get the bikes running and roadworthy. They decided to tastefully modify them. Changed the bars to a lower rise style, shorten the signal lamps, painted them bright red.
They also rebuilt the Calipers, new tires, new
4-1 chrome header.

So, one day early July of this year(2020), the one cousin sent me a message asking to talk to me, I said ‘sure’ come on over. He does.
We shoot the breeze for a while. Then he asks me, ‘So, you still riding?’ (I have a ZZR600).
“Yes I still ride”, I reply to him.
He then says, “you want you dad’s bike back?”...
Well don’t I start crying like a little baby....
Lol.
Of course I say YES.....
So we set up a time to get a safety done on the bike, and the following week, he rides the bike to my house and drops her off to me....

It’s so cool to have in my possession, my father’s bike, to ride and enjoy as he did, when I was just a little bugger...

So, that’s kinda my story as to how I became a KZ owner, and this old girl will provide me with many ‘miles of smiles’ I’m sure !!!

Thanks for reading, I just thought it would be a cool introduction to my story, and maybe others have similar stories they would like to share...

Howdy. A Spectre is a neat motorcycle. I'd like to have one of those.
