I went a slightly different route and used Duplicolor Performance Wheel paint, and the same clear. Supposed to be resistant to chemicals and such, and I figured if it's strong enough for cage wheels, I'd give it a shot for my body work. There are only 4-5 color options, but I thought the graphite and bronze went well together.
I have a set of GPZ wheels that are going to be painted the same graphite color. Only time will tell how durable this paint is.
BTW, I am loooking for a set of black rectangular mirrors to swap out for my round ones, anyone interesed?

Same here. Just curious, what was the condition of the original paint?RonKZ650 wrote: I saw that red and thought "wow painted just like factory" then saw that was before. I prefer the before looks, but it does look like your job came out real nice.
Excellent work - what kinda tape was used for the graphics?

The original paint was decent, there were a few dents and some slight bubbling though.
I used the green 3M tape to mask the graphics, then used some of that vinyl pinstripe to get the width of the stripe I wanted, then masked up to that and took the vinyl stripe off and sprayed the stripe.

That may not be the best way to do it, but it worked out for me this time. Probably depends alot on the complexity of the graphics also.Gotcha. That'll come in handy if I ever get around to re-doing one of my tanks. I hadn't thought thru the process for laying down a second color - now I won't have to waste time thinkin' on it. hee. JMK.
