Tank decals

I would like to replace the tank decals on my bike because they are pretty beat up. I ordered some but the hole pattern on them were different than mine. Do I have the original tank? Any ideas?

Well, since we cannot see the decals, nor the tank, nor do we know what make or model of motorcycle you have, I dunno.

Sorry about that…..Attached are the pictures. It seems like maybe it’s a different tank but I’m not sure. Btw these are decals I ordered but look exactly like the ones that were on the bike. I just drilled new holes because the ones that were on it looked bad. 1979 kz1000 LTD.

The emblem’s you have are for the larger Z1/KZ tank, the LTD tank has smaller emblems and the distance between the screw holes are different.

Where could I find ones that just screw in without drilling new holes?

There are some on eBay.  NOT cheap, though.

I have a pair I removed from a bike like yours they are used and need the white lettering repainted.

Can you post a pic of your old emblems?

They look exactly like the ones on it. Except older looking plus dinged up a bit.
