Are you sure about that ? One of the ebay pictures shows the fairing installed on a Gpz750.
What make you think it's not proper ? Are the headlight dimensions different on the 550 and 750/1100?
Cheers,

Not sure if I'm too late into the topic.
Ebay US has a KZ750 R1 , seems OEM, in decent shape .
Not cheap , u$s240 + shipping .
Mine is an aftermarket one and it does fit fine , Quality is acceptable I only had to make the holes on the bottom .
Brand is Dennis KIrk but again U$s 260
Both have mounting brackets

Never too late to join the party !
Thank you for the info, do you have the link ? I can't find it on ebay...
Otherwise, the UK seller in the link I posted replied and told me that he could modify the fairing to look like the original one (the side follows the curve of the screen, cf the picture below)
I think I will try it and report.

Also right about shipping.
It has original brackets but you need the bracket that attaches to front forks . I may still have those , not positive .(I had to make different once for my inverted forks)
It has ,as well , original screws and knots for windscreen , 4 metal 3 plastic.
In my experience, new parts will show up on ebay , BUT it takes a long time.

Yep, rare parts do show up on eBay and you have to develop patience...checking daily or several times daily for months or more.It has original brackets but you need the bracket that attaches to front forks . I may still have those , not positive .(I had to make different once for my inverted forks)
