Help Deciding on paint color KZ650B1 1977

Now I want my 77 KZ650B1 finished and am looking at paint colors. It was originally Candy Emerald Green before suffering a poor repaint which seemed designed to change it to the Red color scheme available that year, but ended up somewhat pink. I was originally going to paint it a custom color, but in the interim acquired my KZ1000A2. Now I have my KZ1000A2 mildly customized to my tastes, I'm finding myself drawn towards going original on my KZ650 as it's a very original bike to begin with. However I'm not sold on either of the stock colors, although I've decided I like the green better of the two options.
What are your thoughts on stock colors vs doing your own thing and what is the availability of paint or ways to mix paint to the correct colors, the green in particular?

Green urethane brought up these searches.
Or go to any auto paint supplier and look at their color charts. You will be amazed at the amount of colors they have.

They're coming, just don't want to risk messing it up, but the black with the gold 77 A1 stripes looks awesome.

KZB2 650 wrote: As soon as I saw this I thought of the stock 77 green...... the first time I saw it was on here and I fell in love with it......... search "Presenting my restored + spiffed KZ650 b1" .......... Forrest a member on here re painted his and had the color mixed and it looks amazing.
I asked about it in that thread but can't really afford it right now....... but maybe someday.
I couldn't find that thread despite trying all sorts of searches, but I'd already found one of his pictures and saved it for reference and so was able to get to the page from there, which had the title just as you said - thanks
