Just like the title says, anyone PC their chassis/frame wrinkle or texture black? I am almost at the point of PC'ng the chassis and brackets and considering this option instead of gloss. Going to the engine similar with all engine covers in wrinkle and the base engine in clean bead blast then cleared. Thoughts? Post up pics.

The next black frame I paint will be in satin rather than gloss, the last one I did looked so nice just in basecoat black, sometimes less is more.

In my opinion, wrinkle finish frames are ugly. Secondly, they are very hard to keep clean.

So still thinking it over.... Not sure I just want to go straight gloss black. The bike will be a show piece that is fun to ride, not my everyday bike, so cleaning will not be s huge concern.

Satin black is classic

Understood, but the bike is no where near stock or classic in appearance.... I have done one bike in a satin frame finish. It looked nice, but lots of polish and machined finish on this build.

I prefer the frames in close-to-stock semi-gloss, but I had my engine covers textured and I really like it......

Had a ton of trouble getting the photo to upload and ended up with lots of duplicate posts....sorry about that.

Very nice! Hoping for a bit more texture for my engine covers, like old Hemi valve covers. Maybe, just semi or gloss for the frame.....hmmm

The powder coater offered a heavier texture but I wasn't sure how I'd like any texture, so I played it safe. I had originally wanted to go super glossy black on the covers but I didn't think it would hold up as well. This was a pretty good compromise.

Ok one other thought regarding frame PC'ing has anyone seen good results with PC'ing the frame to match the bike tank color? Thinking of matching the Jaguar Racing Green the bike is going to be painted.

I'm not sure about matching the paint, but when I picked up my parts, I saw a motorcycle tank that was powder coated in high gloss that looked amazing.

Yeah thinking about matching paint from tank to frame as a truly custom touch since I am doing that to my carbs as well. I have to make my mind up soon anyway....
