Saddleman just told me they don't think their XK418 seat kit will fit my bike. (cover and foam kit) Claim it's designed to fit 73- 78 model bikes. Time to ask the pro's. Will the foam and cover from a 78 fit on an 81?

I have both a 78 and 81 KZ1000 LTD and the seats are completely different.

They only list the seat as a complete unit and its unavailable ( and expensive) but it might be worth emailing them about just the cover.

Thanks. I'll try emailing but I don't have much confidence in them having it. The second one doesn't list my bike.

Lol. Yeah, ummm ... don't get me wrong, I appreciate the time you put into helping me but ... $33.64 for a cover? I'm afraid I'd get exactly what I paid for. Lol.

This place has complete seats, & they also sell seat foams & covers.....but they gouge you on the shipping cost for the complete seat ....90.00.........OUCH !!

They don't list any stock replacements. They're mostly into cafe racer style seats. They don't give their phone number so I'll send a message asking about replacement covers and foam.
