showed my tank to a motorcycle buddy at work, he stated that there are creases in my dents. because there are creases, the dents wont come out without repainting the bike.

just remembered a motorcycle shop across the street that does paint and bodywork. ill hit them up for a quote. toss some ideas around.

The guys that can pop the dents out go from inside the tank with various tools. It's truly an art. But you have to find the right person to do it correctly. There's some videos on Youtube.

Here is a guy that tries four popular methods. I like the blood pressure cuff idea (starting at the 5:58 mark of the video). Might be worth a try.

out of curiosity from you paint/body folks?
what should it cost (ball park) to pop a small dent and paint a tank, nothing fancy just back to black/white on a KZP?

i didn't try to press the dents out from the inside after watching youtube vids. the paint damage i saw scared me off of that idea.

I just recently bought a pop a dent on ebay. Mine was a chinese knockout for like $8.00. Came with glue gun and suction cups etc... After years of having a dent in my beloved vulcan I popped it out in 10minutes! Dent had soft edges and was about 3x2 inches in tank. Ya buddy! :woohoo:
