Any one lay up some glass? was created by kzz1king

I am thinking of trying to build something like this. I have done a liitle with glass but it has been along time. I am handy with wood and thoght I could make a form with foam insulation/wood combo. Anyone try anything like this.

doctrot has made some that are alot like that.

his turned out very nice,i do not know if he will build any more tho.

Hopefully I will be able to make a mold out of this. Other than a few patch jobs this is all new to me.

it looks like you are keeping the "humps" in that the stock tail pieces have.
so it looks like yours will fit the frame a little tighter.
which is a good thing i think.
i can't wait to see how it works out for you.

No, I am casting this piece to make the mold. I will fill in the humps after I make the mold but I plan on making a new sub frame to fit the pan. We will see!

Just about got the mold down. Just need to fill the low spots so they don't become high spots. So far, so good.
